Take a Break… Take a Workshop!

Welcome Back to Another BobBlast!
So, here I am back in my studio, after teaching my first workshop of 2023! This experience got me thinking about the many benefits you get by taking a workshop.

I like to say this:
•Get out of your studio
•Get out of your funk
•Expand your horizon

Take a workshop from a teacher whose work or technique you admire. You'll be around other artists who also want to learn more. Instant camaraderie and networking!

We learn so much from each other during a workshop. My latest workshop was in Mexico, at the Casa de Los Artistas - eighteen excited painters from around the world. What I learned was the importance of giving yourself a break and trying to paint in a fresher, new direction.

I also learned to pack just the supplies on the materials list, then edit to about 50% of that!
