Dear Parents,

What a blessing it is to start our 75th year of partnering with parents in the education of children here at Our Lady of Grace Catholic School!

We have had a terrific start to the school year. I love the hustle and bustle of the beginning of school.  It truly is an exciting thing to be a part of, and it is with gratitude and excitement that we welcome you to a new school year. This past week, we have been blessed to have 130 preschoolers and over 730 K-8th graders fill up our school. Additionally, we extend a very special welcome to the 74 new families that have joined the OLG parish and school community.

We know that you have a choice when considering the education of your children. Thank you for choosing to have your children attend OLG school. It is a blessing to serve this wonderful OLG community, and I am so grateful to faculty and staff, parents, students, and to Father Kevin and the entire parish staff for working hard to make the start of this school year a huge success once again. 

We look forward to partnering with you as we begin another school year of making Jesus known and loved!

Parent School Organization (PSO) Meeting

Understanding School Accounts

Below is a quick overview of accounts used throughout the school. TADS is for billing and household information that feeds into Educate, where students' grades are posted. Seesaw is for K-3 teachers to share classwork, photos, etc. Google Classroom is for grades 3-8 assignments and homework. EZapp is the lunch payment program. SUG is how you sign-up for volunteer opportunities. Artsonia is a way to purchase your student's artwork for keepsakes/gifts. Links for TADS, Educate and EZapp are always at the bottom of the Weekender.

Health Forms ASAP

Annual Health Forms were due before school started for all students. Updated Immunization Forms are due for students in preschool, kindergarten and 7th grade. Students who have medications at school must also submit forms. Click here for Health Forms and information.

Lunch Accounts

Please click here to add money to your student's EZ App lunch account. The daily meal includes a drink and costs $5.50/student. Click here for updated lunch information and the menu.

MS Math Team Info Meeting

Transportation Reimbursement

Due Friday, September 8

Families attending OLG School that do NOT live in Edina, Minneapolis, Richfield, or Mendota Heights may be eligible for a transportation reimbursement. This includes parents who carpool, use Eden Prairie busing, or other forms of transportation. Reimbursement, if any, will be distributed by the beginning of the next school year via TADS or check. K-8 Release Day Care (Full Day)

Register by Friday, September 8

Release Day Care is 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. The mornings are on OLG campus, followed by a fun adventure in the afternoon.

School Volunteers

All volunteers (including coaches and chaperones) within the security doors during the school day must be up to date on Virtus credentialing. The electronic sign-in system does not allow you to sign in if you are not current with Virtus.

• New Families: New families should have received an email with instructions from "jamiepohl@olgparish.org" on August 18. If you did not, check your spam folder or email Jamie Pohl for instructions.
• Returning Families: If you want to find out if you are current on your Virtus Credentials, please log in to virtusonline.org. There is a box titled “Compliance History” and that will show you your latest Virtus Credential dates (you must update it every three years). If you are unable to log in, please email Jamie Pohl. If you are currently receiving emails from Virtus about updates, please log in to complete. If you are receiving update reminders but no longer wish to volunteer, please email Jamie Pohl to stop the automatic Virtus emails.

Small Groups for Mothers of Young Children

Grow closer to God while meeting with other moms who want the same things as you—to raise great kids and have a strong and fulfilling marriage. Hosted by the Cana Family Institute, the groups each meet twice monthly, September through May. The cost is $85, and childcare is available for our morning group.
