Principal Message

Welcome to the New School Year at Webb Middle School!

Dear Webb Middle School Families,

As the summer days draw to a close, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for the start of a new school year. The beginning of a new academic year is always a special time—a chance for fresh starts, new opportunities, and the promise of growth and learning. We are thrilled to welcome both our returning students and those joining us for the first time at Webb Middle School.

Attendance Matters!

One of the most important ways to ensure a successful year is by starting off on the right foot with regular attendance. Every day of learning is valuable, and we encourage all students to attend school daily, ready to engage and excel. Building strong attendance habits now will set the foundation for academic success throughout the year.

Join Us for Our Open House

We invite you to our Open House on   This is a wonderful opportunity to meet your child’s teachers, tour the school, and learn more about this exciting new year. We look forward to seeing you there!

A Special Thank You to Our Team

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our staff, who have worked tirelessly over the summer to prepare our school for the new year. Their dedication and hard work have ensured that Webb Middle School is ready to welcome students into a safe, clean, and organized environment. We are truly fortunate to have such a committed team supporting our school community.

Welcoming New Staff

We are also excited to introduce some new faces who will be joining our teaching staff this year. Please join us in welcoming:

  • Matt Peetz, who will be teaching agriculture and providing academic support.
  • Tressa Bauer, who will be teaching 6th grade science and math.
  • Danielle Turner, who will be teaching 6th grade language arts and reading.
  • Kathleen Smith, who will be leading our Family and Consumer Sciences program.

These talented educators are great additions to an already stellar staff, and we look forward to the positive impact they will have on our students' learning experiences.

The start of the school year is a time of great energy and enthusiasm, and we can't wait to embark on this journey with our students and families. Together, let's make this a fantastic year at Webb Middle School!

Warm regards,

Matt Delkamp, Principal

As school counselors, we are available to ALL students. We are here to assist students through difficult moments, big emotions, problem-solving, etc. Counseling conversations are confidential to help build and maintain an effective counseling relationship. However, as required by law, there are limits to confidentiality in certain situations, and some disclosure may be required to prevent any clear and imminent danger to self and others.

We encourage all students to access the school counseling services/ office. If you DO NOT want your child to visit with us, please contact us to let us know this request.

BARK

The School District of Reedsburg utilizes the BARK program to monitor all school-owned student accounts, including Google searches, drive, email, and chats for concerning content. These accounts are monitored whether the student is accessing them from school or another location. School counselors will review all high-risk reports and may speak directly with students or contact parents if the content is deemed to be concerning. The purpose of this is not to invade students' privacy but to allow us to address any possible student needs. If you have any questions about this program, please contact the school counselors.

Board Votes to Put Referendum Questions

on November 5th Ballot

The School District of Reedsburg’s Board of Education unanimously voted Monday night to put two referendum questions on the November 5, 2024, General Election ballot. The board approved questions to address the need for additional operating funds and to complete a facilities project at Reedsburg Area High School.

Ballot Question One - Operating Funds:

Exceed the revenue limit by $4 million per year for the next four years (non-recurring), ending with the 2027-2028 school year, for the purpose of:

  • Filling projected budget deficits in each of the four years as a result of shortfalls in state funding;
  • Maintaining and expanding on our current focus to provide rigorous academic programs and career pathways for all students;
  • Keeping class sizes as low as possible;
  • Continuing to attract and retain high-quality staff;
  • Addressing the most urgent maintenance needs at Webb Middle School.

Ballot Question Two - Facilities Project

Invest $14 million in the Reedsburg Area High School to:

  • Renovate and update equipment in the Construction Trades, Manufacturing and Engineering, and Agriculture spaces;
  • Add a new greenhouse and provide space for new and innovative programs in Agriculture, Animal Science, and Natural Resources;
  • Renovate the library, large group room, and two adjacent classrooms to create the new Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship;
  • Lightly renovate the cafeteria / commons.

Why?

Like many Wisconsin school districts, the School District of Reedsburg does not receive adequate funding from the state to keep pace with inflationary increases. Added operating funds will allow the District to continue on its upward trajectory. Renovated Career & Technology Education spaces at RAHS will allow the District to continue to build rigorous career pathways and academic programs for ALL students.
