Welcome to our new intern: Taylor Buono from Nova Southeastern University!

Taylor earned her Associate of Arts degree at Hillsborough Community College in 2018, her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from the University of South Florida in 2020, and currently attends Nova Southeastern University, where she will earn an Entry-level Doctorate in Occupational Therapy in August of 2024. Taylor is interested and passionate about novel and emerging areas in occupational therapy, such as public and community health, community integration/reintegration, mental health, life transitions, and more. Taylor strongly believes in individuals' right to engage and participate in age-appropriate, essential, and meaningful daily activities for their overall physical, mental, cognitive, and emotional health and wellness across their lifespans. Her allyship with the students at Victory High School developed through personal life experiences, and it gave way to her partnership with Victory High School, where she will explore occupational therapy's role in recovery high schools, develop programming for students, and complete mental health first aid training.

Thanks to our remarkable contracts with Vitanya: Brain Performance Coaching,

and Wired Biohealth: Epigenetics Services

10 students are participating in each program since January 9th

Our students receive 4 sessions a week on the Brain Tap headset equipped with lights and sound for neurofeedback intervention on cognitive performance. They meet twice a week with our Brain Performance Coach, Victoria for biofeedback and coaching sessions to improve wellness including stress reduction.

Previous pilot programs have found that the Vitanya Brain Performance program have improved sleep,

increased resilience and cognitive functioning, assisted in forming secure attachments/improved

relationships, and decreased symptomology of PTSD, depression, anxiety, stress, and suicidal ideation.

Wired Biohealth provides our students and Caregivers with

Biomarker and Pharmacogenomic Evaluation Reports.

They are able to identify, isolate, and measure the physiological

component of behavioral health complexities

using a triangular relationship model.

Supplements are used for both programs to naturally 'jump start' our students' brains to do what it does best.

We are the ONLY Recovery High Schools in the United States to work with these programs for behavioral wellness optimizations through

Brain Performance Coaching and Epigenetics.

We're excited to see the improvements with our students.
