One-of-a-Kind NICU Videos

ICU baby’s Parent to Parent video series will be launched in February giving families access to NICU information in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole.

NICU Grads Returning to Give Hope!

The ICU baby Youth Ambassadors will host their 3rd Annual Car Parade of Hope at South Miami Hospital on Sunday, February 5th at 1PM.

Expanding Our Volunteer Team!

Do you want to give back to the community in a meaningful way? ICU baby is looking for volunteers! Host a packing event! Join an event committee! If you’ve had a NICU experience, speak with us about becoming a mentor!

Breaking Records on Give Miami Day!

Give Miami Day has become one of ICU baby’s most critical fundraisers and this year we broke our own record once again! With your generous support, we raised $73,562 on our Give Miami Day platform and even more gifts came in from private donations made off-line.

Packing in Our Community

Several student groups volunteered their time this fall to help ICU baby prepare essential items for our NICU families.

Collections of Kindness

Thanks to Vanesa Baker and her partnership with Palm Springs North Elementary and Elevate Church, ICU baby received over 200 swaddle blankets collected in local blanket drives.

Partnering with United Way for a Special Thanksgiving 

United Way Miami partnered with ICU baby this Thanksgiving to make the holiday a little more special. Gift cards to Publix and boxes filled with all of the ingredients to make a full Thanksgiving Meal were handed out to families in the NICU.  Having a baby in the hospital during the holidays is difficult and this kind gift of a meal from the community was what many needed to brighten their day!

Celebrating Our Birthday!

This November 17th, ICU baby celebrated 7 years of programming at South Miami Hospital and 6 years of programming at Holtz Children’s Hospital! NICU families and the doctors and nurses joined ICU baby to mark this special occasion with a birthday cake! It has been nothing short of a privilege to support our NICU community in such a meaningful way throughout the years.

Hatching NEST!

ICU baby launched its NICU Empowerment Support Tools - or NEST program, which provides families with the informational support that they need to participate in their baby's NICU care.

Surprising NICU Siblings

Families at McGlannan School played Santa by collecting hundreds of toys for siblings of our NICU babies and ICU baby’s Youth Ambassadors were the elves who wrapped the gifts!

Breaking Bread for the Holidays

This holiday season we were thrilled to be able to welcome all of our in-NICU families back to one of our favorite holiday traditions, Holiday Meaningful Meals.

New Member Joining Our Team

Please join us in welcoming Megan Gerstel to the ICU baby team as our Director of Communications and Events. Megan comes to ICU baby with a wealth of experience in the event and non-profit world. She formerly served as Executive Director for the Greater Miami Shores Chamber of Commerce and previously worked in Director positions with both non-profit and for-profit organizations. ICU baby’s events have been a highlight for our supporters and with Megan’s help, we can’t wait to do more to bring our community together!
