We are so lucky to live in this beautiful valley. We have had a great rainfall this last week which is really helping our spring grass growth. Our mama cows are in their calving season and every day we drive around and check on more new calves. The red Devon cattle are very protective mamas and will only let you get so close!
We work hard to care for our animals. We have a calving season that matches that of Mother Nature, who knows best. Our wild deer population are also dropping their fawns. Many conventional ranchers choose to calve in the dead of winter. We believe calving in spring is easier on the calves and at a time when there is a rich supply of fresh new grass for their mamas to produce the best milk.
