The Asheville City Schools Foundation is speaking out for public education. We are up against significant legislative attacks on public education: HB420, HB187, HB219, and SB49. ACSF will not back down in advocating for our public schools, our teachers, and most importantly, our students. When we stand up, we know we will get attacked as we did last year when we were sued in federal court for reverse discrimination. We do not anticipate that attacks such as these will subside in the coming year. Yet these are our values: to do whatever it takes and to be brave on behalf of our students and teachers. We invite our community to join us.

ACSF is thrilled to be hiring for two positions: a Director of Programs and a Development and Communications Associate! Why work at the Asheville City Schools Foundation?

  • We're proximate to both the joy and the pain of the most pressing challenges and opportunities in public education.

  • We're not just any nonprofit. We're engaging in work at the local, state, and national level.

  • We're committed to fostering a workplace culture of belonging, where diversity is celebrated, and equity is a core value.

  • We're innovative. Our programs are grounded in a pursuit of equity and the desire to magnify the genius, encourage the curiosity, celebrate the joy, and support the aspirations of our students and teachers.

  • We're flexible. We offer more than double the amount of PTO as compared to the average nonprofit!

Click the application packets below to learn more about each position, and please spread the word to anyone who might be a great fit!
