 Ralston Creek Cohousers
Arvada, Colorado

We have been very busy getting the word out
about Ralston Creek Cohousing in the past month and it has been great to connect with so many people.

Read the Arvada Press or Patch News to learn about the benefits of green homes powered by solar and ground source energy.

Listen to KGNU Radio in Boulder and find out why cohousing has become very popular in recent years. Hear from two future residents of the Ralston Creek Development, Deb Kneale and Carl Burg, and cohousing architect, Bryan Bowen.

Listen to the radio show and read the print articles here:

On Saturday, July 12, Ralston Creek Cohousing members presented a slide show to 12 attendees curious to find out the advantages of living in cohousing, in the Geos community. After the presentation, several people took a tour of a completed rowhouse at Geos and learned about the mechanics of the “no fossil fuel” community.

And, to top off the month, our developer, Norbert Klebl and Ralston Creek member, Lacey Ankenman were interviewed by CBS Channel 4 News!

Cohousing is a great way to live in community. Did you know there are already 15 cohousing communities in Colorado's Front Range area? Don't miss this opportunity to hear why so many people want to be a part of this lifestyle.
We are working with a developer to build a site within the Geos neighborhood, in Arvada. Our home, called the Gatehouse, will be a three story building with individual flats, a common house and underground parking.
The plans we are going to show you are intended to give you an idea about the kind of community Ralston Creek Cohousing wants to create.
A part of the community’s open space will be set aside for organic farming and gardening such as a vegetable field, and fruit trees. We would love for you to join us.
Create the community you want to live in.
Get in on the "ground floor" as we design our community. We value your participation.

Things to Do in Arvada!

Arvada Days
Join us for the 2nd Annual Arvada Days where we invite you to take a walk back in time to those earliest days of Arvada.  Arvada has a long history in the Denver metro area and was a key community to our State’s gold mining history, earlier farming communities and helping to make Colorado the prosperous state that it is today! We’ll step back in time to the mid-1800s (1850-1900) and celebrate the rich history that Arvada holds while also sharing those activities of the era and helping our community learn first-hand what it was like to live in Arvada during the “golden days.”

Member Profile

Bob Clemans

I am retired now, and I spend lots of time visiting friends, traveling with my wife (Tori Baker), and hanging out with our 6 grandkids. Before I retired I had an interesting career, where I developed an ecological consulting firm, taught high school, supervised a biological pest control lab, and managed data and made maps for the US Forest Service. I love to hike, hunt, and fish. I have taught hunter education to Colorado’s youth for more than 30 years.
The sustainability technology of Geos fascinates me. I hope that our community built on leading edge technology will provide leadership in Colorado and beyond for low impact living. I look forward to working with others over the years as Ralston Creek and Geos roll out into a global example of a walkable, sustainable neighborhood.
