November 2020

Welcome to the FTR Newsletter! Stay updated on new programs and events, media highlights and what our awesome volunteers and donors are doing for our recovery community.
Thank you for your support!
November is National Gratitude Month.

Gratitude is at the heart of what we do at Fit To Recover.

We wouldn't be here without YOU. This month, we are grateful for everyone who is a part of our community and those who support our community.
Practicing daily gratitude gives us a deeper connection to ourselves and the world around us.
We invite you to join us in our Gratitude Challenge above. Complete 25 out of 30 and get a free FTR Gratitude T-shirt. Share your daily prompts in class or on the Facebook FTR Community Page using #FTRGive 2020 to complete the challenge.

Giving Tuesday is December 1st
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity day - a day that highlights the good people do for other people. Our Giving Tuesday goal is to raise $50,000 to help us recover from COVID-19’s impact on our community.
FTR is proud to welcome Crossfit Low Oxygen to the recovery community as the first-ever FTR Affiliate.
Jared and Taneil, owners of Crossfit Low Oxygen located in Frisco, Colorado, successfully completed the first FTR Certification Program, held October 17-18, 2020. On the first day of the workshop, they learned about FTR's Programming, how important safety and connection are for those in recovery, and how trauma impacts recovery. On the second day of the workshop, they took what they learned and applied it to an hour-long class of FTR Community Members.
Crossfit Low Oxygen offered the first Fit To Recover class on November 7, 2020 at 12:00 pm. This class was free to all participants in the Frisco, Colorado area.
We are excited to watch Crossfit Low Oxygen’s program grow and flourish and help serve the recovery community in Summit county!

Member Spotlight: Jonathon Watcycha
This month we want to give a big shoutout to Jonathon Watycha. Jonathon is new to our community thanks to the Mark Miller Subaru Scholarship. Welcome Jonathon, we are happy to have you as part of our community!
Honorary Workout for Todd Wahl
Todd Wahl was a deeply loved father, husband, and friend in the community. He will be greatly missed.
In honor of his life, FTR organized a socially distanced and limited capacity workout to contribute to the cause.
Community members biked 275 (stationary) miles for him, and helped us raise nearly $2,000 for the Todd Wahl Memorial Fund.
NUTRITION/Food to Recover
Good news! With Felicia’s help, we will now be able to offer 12 spots for meal prep!
Sign up on the MindBody App and get 5 delicious meals for $40. Contact Corinna for more information at
Over the past month, Felicia (right) has stepped up her role at FTR. From a humble, kind-hearted member to now a passionate fitness intern and skilled meal prep assistant, she truly is a jack of all trades.
With Felicia’s help, we’ve been able to increase our community meal prep capacity from serving 7 people to now 12+! Felicia’s passion for delicious food (and juicing!), health and wellness, and service to others has us singing her praise this month as our standout member. The FTR team is incredibly grateful for all that she does and continues to do for our community!
