An unforgettable night of conversation with Billy-Ray Belcourt!

Earlier this week we hosted Billy-Ray Belcourt at the Eagle Eye Theatre for a reading from his new book Coexistence: Stories followed by a conversation and a Q&A.

We had a great conversation about Billy-Ray's start as a poet, inventing a future through writing and art, and his creation of a multiverse of queer Cree men from Northern Alberta. It was a beautiful evening and an honor to chat with such a thoughtful and accomplished author.

A huge thank you to Gather Bookshop (for vending books), Pride Squamish (for the supporting the event with a table), The Writers' Union of Canada and Canada Council for the Arts (for funding).

It was a great way to celebrate both National Indigenous History Month and Pride Month
