We need your help. Will you take about 5 minutes to give us your feedback?

You may not be aware (as we have not publicly announced it yet), but ASD is currently in the quiet phase of a $12m Capital Campaign to build an agricultural campus in Bristol, VA, and we would like your feedback to help us gauge community needs for certain aspects of what goes on the campus. There's a survey linked below - it should take approximately 5 minutes to complete.

Here's some background on this project: ASD recently purchased 17+ acres on Singingwood Lane in Washington County, VA, with plans to build an agriculture campus dedicated to developing and supporting agriculture and food efforts in Central Appalachia. On the land, we plan to have:

  • 10,000 square foot agriculture business development hub
  • 8,000 square foot food hub to aggregate and distribute locally-grown food
  • A food processing facility
  • Greenhouses and a lathhouse
  • Social enterprises for our workforce development programs (like Late Bloomers)
  • Temporary housing for workforce development participants
  • Demonstration grow spaces
  • Outdoor play spaces, walking trails, and more

We want this campus to be a center for growth for all of our region. It will be the home for all of our current programs and will complement our existing 15,000 square foot food hub in Duffield, VA. Even if you don't live in this region, we would love to hear from you. All comments, from near and far, will help us understand some specific community needs and how ASD can best meet them on the campus.

Thank you for your time and participation!
