NOTES FROM LORI
Here it is! The end of 2022. Where did the time go? To me, it feels like the months have flown by, and yet looking back, we were able to accomplish more than I thought possible. We completed the remodel at France, adding more seating and upgrading shared amenities. We finalized our selections for the Minnetonka remodel last week and have a tentative completion date for late January. Fingers crossed. We recognized that Park Connect needed to be retooled, and converted it to a monthly rotating Social Hour. Every center will now host a networking event focused on connecting our current membership base and introducing new members to the community. We've had incredible turnout so far and hope to see that trend continue with our holiday Social Hour at International Plaza on December 8th. Speaking of good turnouts, thank you to everyone that participated in our best CoWorking Month yet! Our member led seminars and networking event at The Fair on 4 were some of my favorite things.
Our membership has grown to over 1,700 strong, with the largest increase coming from flex plans. It has been a pleasure to see all of you back in the workspaces again. Thank you for your referrals, which helped us through some really tough times. Staffing has been a challenge, along with keeping our spaces safe from every new variant that has hit in the past 12 months. We remained strong and I believe the team that made it to the end of the year is a great one. We look forward to supporting your businesses in 2023.
December truly is the most wonderful time of the year and this year my biggest pleasure is the return of our Holiday Lunches. Yarusso’s Restaurant in St. Paul will be providing a lasagna lunch which is an OffiCenters tradition. If you haven’t attended our holiday extravaganza before, you’re in for a very tasty treat. We’ll be hosting five traditional holiday lunches plus one Social Hour, as mentioned above, where we will serve Italian appetizers, just like mama made. Yarusso’s is a neighborhood restaurant that is part of my Italian roots. I’ve been going there since my childhood and nothing delights me more than being able to share a piece of my St. Paul, East Side Pride with all of you. We invite all of our members, past and present, to attend and celebrate the season with OffiCenters. I look forward to seeing you all and toasting to our 2022 successes and the exciting possibilities in 2023. Register now!
As we enter the season of giving, we would like to spotlight some of our OneCommunity partners, who are providing a brighter holiday for those less fortunate. If you would like to be part of our giving tradition, we are collecting for 3,000 Acts of Kindness until December 9th, or see your Center Manager to make a donation. Learn more about the local charities we are supporting below.
Take time to celebrate the season before rushing off into the New Year. Enjoy time with family and friends. Happy Holidays and may your Christmas be merry and bright!

Walt Fricke, CEO of Veterans Airlift Command, and Park member, shares how being a former Army aviator that was wounded in Vietnam motivated him to create VAC. This family friendly variety show is reminiscence of an Andy William Christmas Special. Get tickets, peruse menus or you can even book your own fabulous private event at the Granada Theater HERE.

Yarusso Bros. Italian Restaurant, located on the Eastside of St. Paul, opened in 1933 and is the city’s oldest family-owned Italian restaurant. They have been catering our holiday lunches for 25+ years. Their lasagna lunch is a holiday tradition at OffiCenters that we are thrilled to bring back to our Work Awesome Members this year. And, if you think their lasagna is great, you should try their hot dagos, recommended by the (Lori) Spiess family! See their full menu HERE.

Social Hour is a HIT
We’ve already had a few members ask if they can co-host a Social Hour with us. Although we’ve never done this before, we had to ask ourselves, “Why not”? So, the January 12 Social Hour at Minnetonka will be co-sponsored by Universal Network Solutions, Inc., Park members. Interested in becoming a co-sponsor? Contact our marketing coordinator, Lea at 952-876-4044 or lea.spiess@officenters.com.

You can help OffiCenters make a difference in lives of those less fortunate in the Twin Cities by donating to one of our holiday OneCommunity Partners. Once again, we are buying gifts for an inner city family given to us by Christmas in the City and for two children picked from the Angel Tree located in the Bell Plaza building lobby. And, we will make a donation to Second Harvest Heartland, the primary regional food bank for the Twin Cities metro and greater Minnesota.
New this year, we are collecting hats, gloves and sleeping bags for 3000 Act of Kindness, a one day event on Dec. 12 providing a day of hope and dignity to 3000 homeless individuals in the Twin Cities. Collection boxes will be in our lobbies now through Friday, Dec. 9. Bring in your items or talk to an OffiCenters team member to find out how to make a monetary donation. This is OneCommunity in Action at its finest!
