Dear CRC Supporter,
As summer begins to fade and our
Summer Superhero campaign
comes to a close, the generosity of our community is as warm and bright as ever. Thank you for helping us exceed our goal of $35,000 and raise $60,000 to help feed hungry kids.
Thank you for saving the day!
Because of you, children who live in our domestic violence shelter and children whose parents struggle to put enough on the table had access to good food and hot meals.
I am grateful to all of our generous supporters, including Ella and Han Helders who led the way with a challenge gift of $15,000, and to the Hedwig S. Johannsen Trust who donated $20,000 in memory of Hedwig and Nicolay Johannsen.
Thank you for your generosity!

Ricky & Halima both work two jobs, but had to choose between paying rent and feeding their kids. Halima says,
"Coming to CRC has been such a blessing ... We don't have to worry about having enough food to feed our kids.”

Making the Most with Compost!
|
Did you know that CRC and our volunteers rescue around 500 pounds of food scraps a month to benefit the community?
Some of those food scraps are used as chicken feed or brought to local schools for their garden programs. See how our community partners are helping reduce waste by composting.
