Dear Administrator,
Recently I shared with some leaders and friends of Women of Grace® about our plans and prayers for 2024 and I wanted to make sure you were included in this important group.
For the past number of years, I have asked God for a “word” to anchor our apostolate into the coming new year. I do believe that the first word He gave me was “trust.” For the next two years, the word was “intentionality.” Last year, the word was “move forward.” A little later in 2023 the word “formation” was also given. This year the word is “the next step.”
As I have reflected, I realize that these “words,” strung together, have formed a path for us – one of advancement and growth, hope and promise, acceleration, and expansion. And, so it is. This new year is brimming with further opportunities to live the Apostolate’s mission to “transform the world one woman at a time.”
We are poised. We are ready. And we are setting out on “the next step.”
Let me give you an overview of what’s on this year’s horizon:
- The printed version of our Foundational Study, “Full of Grace: Women and the Abundant Life,” will breach the Pacific Rim in both Australia and the Philippines.
- Additionally, we have reason to hope it will make its way into various countries in Africa.
- The Study has been translated into Spanish and Ukrainian, and we are prayerfully considering other languages for translation.
- A new study series entitled “Moments with Mary” will be launched along with the long-awaited study called “Grace-Filled Moments.” Two other studies may also be printed by year’s end.
- We will continue to offer the Foundational Study to women the world over via the Internet. It has been taken by women in Central and South America, Spain, England, and beyond.
- An increase of in-person study groups is planned for this year in Ireland.
- Several in-person and online events are scheduled for 2024 including our annual retreat at Malvern Retreat House in Malvern, PA.

Finally, the Benedicta Institute for Women will be relaunched in April under the guidance of our newly appointed Academic Advisor, Dr. Donald Wallenfang. The week-long immersive course, “Who is Woman? The Journey from Eve to Mary,” will be offered at Our Lady of Florida Spiritual Center in North Palm Beach, FL the week of April 22nd. Participants will be able to apply the course toward a certification in Catholic Women’s Leadership to be awarded by the Institute once all certification requirements are met. Bishop William Waltersheid of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, Spiritual Advisor to Women of Grace, will also be with us to meet the spiritual needs of the participants. The Bishop will also present a series of mini-teachings for spiritual formation.
