Just tucked off Hwy #4, near the Coombs Market, is the heart of the Coombs Agricultural Community, the Coombs Fairgrounds (1014 Ford Rd, Coombs). The grounds hold several buildings available for rent for events big and small. Our biggest event held on the fairgrounds is the annual Coombs Fair. Mark Aug 12 and 13 on your calendar as you don't want to miss it!
Each year we feature a farm animal. This is the year of the pig! We think that it is a very 'PIG DEAL reaching 110-year milestone of the fair, 100 of those years on our beautiful grounds.
The Arrowsmith Agricultural Association board has partnered with Parksville Qualicum Beach district 4-H, Coombs Farmers Institute, Arrowsmith Community Recreation Association and Silver Spurs Riding Association. They all pull together to create and maintain the agricultural bases for the Oceanside area. Anyone in the Oceanside area is welcome to participate as an exhibitor. Local businesses are welcome to sponsor a section or even have a booth on the fairgrounds throughout the fair.
