As the Bengals take the ice, not a moment goes by that they are not thinking of their brother! Marco Kaiser has taken more hits in his fight against cancer than the hockey team will take this entire season. We are Benedictine!

Dear Benedictine Families and Friends,

For those who are unaware, Marco Kaiser ‘21 has been battling leukemia for several years. It is the ALL version called Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, which has a high success cure rate. For the most part, he has been able to attend classes at Benedictine and participate in extracurricular activities. From time to time, he has had to disrupt his routine with an occasional hospital stay. After recent discussions with Marco and the Kaiser Family, we have learned that he will be away from campus for an extended period of time. As you can imagine, this presents a number of challenges.
As is outlined in our Hallmarks, one of the things that we value most about the Benedictine Community is how we rally around those who need our support. With this in mind, we encourage you to demonstrate that support in multiple ways. The first option is simple. Pray. We will pray for strength, patience, and a speedy recovery. A second option is to track Marco’s progress on his Caring Bridge website here . And one final suggestion would be to contribute to his Meal Train website here .

Before he left campus last week, Marco was in great spirits. He continues to battle this disease with a delicate blend of grit and grace. His family, teachers, and classmates will continue to rally around him, and we invite you to do the same in whichever ways you are able. We are behind you, Marco. #MarcoStrong

Sincerely,
