The Spring/Summer Baseball edition of the Ultimate Sports Guide is simply sensational and readers are saying so. Filled with comprehensive articles on the San Francisco Giants and Oakland A's, the San Rafael Pacifics and The Scottish Games, draft reports on the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders and Washington Redskins, professional and collegiate team reviews, a report on the Multi-Ethnic Sports Hall of Fame, and two of our favorites, postcards sent from the spring training camps of both the A's and Giants, make it truly a can't miss! Also included is an interview with 95.7 FM The Game's Rick Tittle by former San Francisco Chronicle sports writer David Bush, a guest commentary from Leland Faust, and a look at a barn-storming baseball team from the early 1900s known as the House of David. We have even included a sports crossword puzzle and the daily sports calendar of major local sporting events is an invaluable resource.
Copies are available in most of your favorite sports bars but if not, write to info@ultimatesportsguide.net or call 510-845-2035 and we will direct you to a convenient location. Our new issue is quickly achieving celebrity status and you don't want to miss it!

Ultimate Sports Guide staff were guests at the renowned John Madden/KCBS BBQ held on June 7 and above flank Hall of Fame coach John Madden. (Left, photographer Ed Jay and right, director of sales Ann Cooke.) The BBQ followed the Madden-Mariucci Battle of the Bay Charity Bocce Tournament held two days earlier. The tournament has raised more than $3.5 million for local and national charities over the years, and annually includes several current and ex-49ers, Raiders, A's and Giants. This year's tournament was ''mistakenly" won by John Madden himself. As Madden commented afterwards, "You never want to win your own tournament. I screwed up."
