"If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself"
Time is flying, isn't it Co-Conspirator? We've only got a few more months until it's 2022! Thank you for standing on the frontlines with Urban Triage! Please keep reading for an update on our programs and information about how to get involved!
We have eight more days until Giving Tuesday!

#GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement created to unleash the power of people and organizations to transform their organizations and their communities.

We have already raised over $36,000 in a few days, but we need you, Co-Conspirator, to help us make a historical impact this year.

Donate to Urban Triage. Every dollar donated will be matched up to $50,000. Double your investment today.

Last year, because of you, we raised over $50,000, which allowed us to open our first office space, and we couldn't have done it without all of our Co-Conspirators, volunteers, and donors. If you know Urban Triage, you know that we always go above and beyond while making history.

This year we're doubling our goal and raising $100,000 to purchase two critical services Urban Triage vans.

Madison's transportation system is not convenient for many – access to public transit can be a massive headache. A 20-minute commute can quickly turn into a couple of hours when utilizing public transportation! The vans will play a crucial role in sustaining our Supporting Healthy Black Agriculture Initiative (SHBA) and streamlining our Unhoused Neighbors Initiative.

Please support us in purchasing our first Urban Triage vans. Please donate today and invest in an organization that is committed and happy to meet people where they are and do the work to ensure that our city is accessible and inclusive for all.

Rental Support has been on and popp'in. We can't even begin to express what an inspiring opportunity it has been. The last few weeks for our team have been one word: busy. We've been working to ensure that we deliver exceptional customer services to our community.

Our office was closed for two weeks due to a COVID-19 outbreak. And yet, we hit our goals and markers despite being closed.

In the next few weeks, we'll continue to onboard additional staff to support the processing of applications.

We could not do this without our squad. Shout out to our newly onboarded staff who have jumped in to get the work done without hesitation! Y'all are rocking it, and we are so thankful for you!

Acknowledgments would not be complete without big ups to our staff who have been part of our squad for a while--they took on new roles and added new tasks without question. Thank you so much. We can not and could not do this work without you. We see you.

Our team is working! Team works make the dream wong!

We also want to thank all of our readers for supporting us and being patient with us as we adjust to the workload. This work is hard and takes a ton of heart, and we thank you for your support as we continue to improve our processes.

We're doing heart work y'all! Supporting Healthy Black Families (SHBF) Cohort 7 is off and running! We're more than halfway through our 7th cohort!

This cohort was one of our largest cohorts to date, with participants tuning in from across the globe. We're covering new ground with our participants and exploring new ideas in ways that we wouldn't have even imagined possible!

We're also incredibly excited and proud to announce that we are training facilitators from our previous cohorts and staff. By introducing new facilitators to lead our transformational workgroups, we can expand our capacity and reach.

If you're sick of finding yourself in the same cycles and if you're experiencing trauma responses as a result of living in a world that's grounded and founded in white supremacist racism, we're inviting you to join us.

Our workgroups are like no other; we're creating community while healing and building understanding of our greatness and the context we exist in, utilizing a multidisciplinary curriculum---empowering, inspiring transformation in everyone who participates.

"I've been attending SHBF workgroup for five weeks, and it has changed my life. I understand things that I had no reference to before. I work intentionally to be present for my children. I didn't understand what that meant before. I'm working on my mental health. I didn't understand triggers or what my autonomic nervous system did, or how it impacted trauma. I now understand my responses and my children's responses. I am a better person because of this group, and it's not over. It's challenging at times because we have to be honest about our stuff which isn't easy. I'm so glad I signed up for this. It's revolutionary for sure."

The fifth cohort of our Co-Conspirators workgroup has begun.

Can we give a massive shout-out to our buddies for doing this work and standing on the frontlines with Urban Triage?

If you didn't already know, we implemented a "buddy system" consisting of past members of our cohort who have dedicated themselves to doing the work and spreading the knowledge of Urban Triage. Our buddies are doing a fantastic job displaying the principles and shifts they have learned in our class. They not only are there to lend a helping hand to current participants but have stepped up to facilitate discussion sessions.

Check out what one of our buddies had to say about facilitating a class.

"I don't have the words to properly explain the impact this class has had on my life. It has changed my dynamic with my partner and my children. And has made me accountable for how I show up for Black lives. It's transformative. There are no words that can capture the experience. Except--everyone needs to enroll in the workgroup!"

This work would truly not be possible without the support, dedication, and determination of our participants. Our Co-Conspirator Workgroup was designed to change the way you think, speak, and act. And that's precisely what it does. It gives participants the knowledge, skills, and confidence to advocate for self, family, and Black Lives.
