The Gazette offers $500,000 in advertising credits to nonprofits through their Gazette Gives Back program every year. Rich joined Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity as a crew leader in 2020 after searching for volunteer opportunities closer to him. Highlights during his time with Habitat have included working shoulder-to-shoulder with fellow crew leaders, and the devotional and prayer prior to working with each new volunteer group.

"It's always fun watching first-time volunteers work with different tools and seeing their smiles when they realize they've done something for the first time and made a lifelong difference for a new homeowner."
