MARCH 2018

We at the Desai Foundation are trying to break the stigma around periods. Do YOU want to help break that stigma for millions of girls around the world?

In many countries, P&G brands their sanitary napkin pads as "Always," but in India, and many other Asia Pacific countries, it's called "Whisper." Why  Whisper about something so natural?

We know that this name isn't the cause or the only thing holding girls back, but words matter, and it certainly doesn't help when the No. 1 sanitary brand in the land is telling you to whisper.

75% of females in India are at risk, right now, of getting an infection, because they don't know about proper menstrual hygiene ( UnicefMHM ). Also, kids' consumption of mainstream media, like branding, puts them at risk of developing unhealthy approaches to their bodies. ( Common Sense Media )

It's time for P&G to change the name, and put their money where their mouth is - if you want to create ads that empower women,
your product has to do the same.

Please SHARE or RETWEET, and join the list to ask P&G to change the name!
