Summer is right around the corner. Here are some ways you can support SCN this summer!

Watch our episode of The Expressway with Dulé Hill!

Last summer, SCN’s students had the incredible opportunity to take part in the filming of the new PBS documentary The Express Way with Dulé Hill

The documentary is a celebratory showcase of diverse artistry across the United States and how passionate people use their art to reclaim narratives and shape their futures.

The "Chicago" episode of The Express Way, featuring SCN and Bassel and The Supernaturals, will air tonight, Tuesday May 14 at 8pm CT on PBS! Or check it out on Amazon Prime Video within the next few days.

Eat at your favorite restaurants while supporting SCN!

We are partnering with HungryFriend, an app that helps you donate to SCN when you eat at participating restaurants! Any time of day, takeout or dine-in, anything on the menu. It’s as easy as following these steps:

1) Sign up for free using our unique link. You will be prompted to download the app, and it will connect you to Syrian Community Network as the recipient of your donations.

2) Create your account and link any cards you use to make purchases at restaurants. (HungryFriend does not store your card’s data.)

3) Go out to eat! Discover partner restaurants near you in the app and start dining out with purpose. Every time you use your linked card at a participating restaurant, they donate a % of your bill (including tax and tip) to SCN!

Here are restaurants you may already love that are on HungryFriend:

7 Gates Restaurant

Al Bawadi

Cedar Palace

There’s over 1,000 restaurants on the app in the Chicago area and 20,000+ across the country!
