Waterloo County Volleyball Camp
Dear Parents and Athletes
  
  The Waterloo County Volleyball Camp is pleased to announce its camp line-up for spring and summer of 2013.  This year we are offering two new camps for club athletes.  During March Break we will be holding our first March Break camp and at the beginning of July we will be offering a three day Setter's Only Camp.  Both of these camps will be held at the CORE Recreation and Fitness Center in Kitchener.  As usual we will again be offering our Club Camp at the end of July.  Information on all of our camps appears below.

March Break Camp

 

During the March Break, from March 11th to the 15th, we will be offering a camp for those athletes wishing to keep their skills sharp during the break.  This camp is a general skills camp with the drilling of skills taking up a part of the day and different types of competition comprising the remainder of the day.
  
Date: March 11 to 15
Time: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Location: CORE Recreation and Fitness Centre
Cost: $150.00 + HST

Setter's Only Camp
  
The Setters Camp is a specialty camp that will will focus on one of the most important skills in the game. This camp will focus on:

  • Proper Hand Positioning
  • Footwork and movement off the net
  • Setter transition from blocking and defense
  • Setting the quick, metre ball, 31, 61, 71 and the backcourt
  • Jump setting (for those setters ready to move to this)


Athletes will work in a 5 athlete to 1 coach ratio. Setters of similar abilities will be placed in groups together and each group will progress at its own pace.

 

Date: July 8, 9, 10

Time: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Club Camp For Elite Athletes 

 

The Waterloo County Club Camp for Elite Athletes is intended for those athletes that are currently playing volleyball at the club level. Athletes from all clubs are encouraged and welcome to sign up and participate in an intense and competitive week of volleyball from some of the best volleyball coaches in the province.
  
All volleyball skills will be covered with a great deal of emphasis on team offensive and defensive systems. Competition amongst groups is also an integral part of our day, and given the level of athlete, this makes for an intense, competitve but enjoyable club camp experience.
  
Each location will also spend a day playing sand volleyball at the CORE Recreation and Fitness Centre.  Athletes will be transported to the facility by bus.

 

Date: July 29 to August 2
Time: 9:00 am to 3:30 pm
Locations: Forest Height CI, Waterloo CI and Rockway Mennonite Collegiate
Cost: $225.00
