Solid Chemistry Is Here
Solid Chemistry is here and can help make your building’s cooling tower systems LEED compliant towards Green certifications. Yes, you can change from a traditional liquid chemical program to greener solid chemicals! Arc is pleased to announce a complete roll out of our solid chemical corrosion inhibitors and biocides. This new technology will reduce the carbon footprint in your mechanical room and will earn you valuable LEED points for those buildings considering going Green! Please contact your salesman or service technician to inquire about this effective and innovative new technology!

Keep an Eye Out During Cold Weather
This winter season has been a very cold one, and we recommend you be diligent in keeping an eye on your mechanical equipment. Our customers have seen an increase in frozen pipes, which has caused some serious problems and property damage. A few of our customer’s cooling towers have even become frozen due to the extremely cold temperatures.
Please make sure the heat tracing on your outdoor insulated piping is working properly. Also, to prevent freezing, check your cooling tower sump daily to make sure the sump heaters are working properly, and your condenser water is flowing normally. Happy New Year!

CAN YOU AFFORD NOT TO TEST FOR LEGIONELLA?
The benefits of routine testing for legionella far outweigh the potential health and legal risks involved from not testing:
- Regular testing for legionella can help prevent potential and sometimes fatal outbreaks of Legionnaires’ disease.
- Routine testing for legionella safeguards the health and well-being of building tenants and visitors to the facility.
- Certified laboratory test results provide documented historical data to protect building owners and managers against potential litigation in the event of an outbreak.
- Periodic monitoring for legionella bacteria supplements a comprehensive maintenance program of due diligence when performing HVAC preventative maintenance procedures.
Arc Water Treatment offers a competitively priced test with timely results that provides building owners/managers with valuable information about potential health risks involving their cooling or domestic water systems.
