WATER CONSERVATION HAS GREAT ROI

We had a late, cold, wet spring but summer has started drier and hotter than average and we have been at peak summer watering for the past month. Prepare for some big water bills this summer!

The average price for water in the Seattle Metro area has increased from 50 to 200% over the past 5 years! WATER RATES ARE THE FASTEST-GROWING UTILITY COST IN THE SEATTLE METRO AREA!  As you can see from the chart above, all rates have risen, some more than others, and the rates vary widely from city to city.

To help our customers mitigate these horrific increases, we are proposing all properties convert to Weathermatic Smartlink Weather-Based Irrigation which can save 20-30% of normal water use. Many of our customers have already converted and we now have 750 controllers in this program.

Weather-Based Smart Irrigation Control

Pacific Landscape Maintenance is a Weathermatic Premiere Partner allowing us to offer their SmartLink Wireless Landscape Network Weather-Based Irrigation Control as a subscription, saving our customers the previously required capital expenditure. For a slight increase in the monthly fee, you will avoid the capital installation cost.

See this new video with a brief outline of this new technology.

Water Conservation Projects

However, that is just the first step. Weather-based irrigation helps accurately irrigate to replace water lost due to weather conditions. But if the irrigation system has poor coverage or if the landscape changed as it matures, improvements to the system also could reduce water use and cost.

That is why we have developed and are promoting water conservation projects to help customers save water and money.
