The Financing Piece


In our third session, titled the “Financing Piece,” Lisa Motoyama offered a presentation on “Financing 101” where she covered the basics of housing development financing, including how to build a capital stack.

VP Caroline McCormack provided illustrative case studies for accessing various loan products and financial resources made available by the City.

Finally we learned best practices for selecting, and partnering with, lenders.

The event concluded with a Question and Answer portion.

Caroline McCormack

Vice President of Lending and Policy

San Francisco Housing Accelerator Fund


Caroline (she/her) joined the Housing Accelerator Fund as the Vice President of Lending and Policy in July 2023 and brings nearly a decade of experience in housing policy and development. She most recently was Director of Preservation in the Northern California office of Enterprise Community Partners where she led its preservation policy, advocacy, and technical assistance strategy in the 9-county Bay Area.
