Seeing residents and families come together to enjoy a beautiful summer evening—while also enjoying an extra special meal and music—was important to two anonymous supporters of Benedictine Madonna Towers. So they made sure it happened by donating the food, music and supplies for this year's Annual Resident and Family Picnic held on Thursday, August 8.
More than 550 guests enjoyed a 1950's themed party with Spring Grove sodas and food catered by Ye Olde Butcher Shoppe, including tasty barbequed ribs, pulled chicken sandwiches, potato salad, coleslaw and cookies.
In addition to the great summer menu, guests tapped their toes to the Swing Street 17-piece band and remembered the good old days while viewing a classic car show. And it was all on the house thanks to generous donor gifts!
Adding an extra special touch of summer were table arrangements of hydrangeas donated by Experience Rochester.
"The food, decorations, music and car show all went together to provide such a special evening with our friends and families," said resident Sarabeth Watson.
