Selectboard meetings will continue every other Tuesday through September for the summer, however, start times will vary. If you are unable to attend a meeting and have an issue to bring before the Board, The Board will do its best to accommodate requests.

On July 16 at 6 pm at Warner Town Hall, the Town of Warner, FCLSRT, and HEB Engineers want to hear from the public regarding the Exit 9 rail trail project (Warner 44161). HEB will not be presenting specific trail designs. They will not have a completed environmental review of the project. This is your opportunity to make suggestions and express concerns.

The first 2024 property tax bill Payments are due by Monday, July 8. If you did not receive a copy of your tax bill, please call the Tax Office at 603-456-2298 x4 or send an email to: tax@warnernh.gov. If your bill is covered through your mortgage provider, a copy is still mailed to you for your records. Hours: 10 AM - 3 PM Mon-Thu

Tax payments can be mailed, paid in person or placed in the Town Hall's front porch mail deposit box or dropped off at the Town Clerk office during open hours.


The Town of Warner is seeking a part time Deputy Tax Collector to assist and support the Tax Collector and a Part Time Deputy Town Clerk 22 to 30 hrs. weekly. Openings are also still available in Police and Public Works Depts. warnernh.gov/job-openings/

250th Birthday Celebrations

The Warner Post Office now has a 250th Warner postmark. Any mail handed to the clerk will be stamped with it.


The summer exhibit at the Upton Chandler House Museum Celebrating Warner’s 250th Birthday is now open Tuesdays from 1 – 4 pm and Saturdays from 10 am until 1 pm through the Fall Foliage Festival weekend. Admission free and the museum has AC.

NH State Parks pass - NH State Parks are open. Rollins State Park on Mt. Kearsarge is OPEN, 7 days a week, 9 am - 5 pm (last entry at 4 pm). Tech Tips - Kindle and OverDrive/Libby

Recently, OverDrive removed the ability to early return Kindle Books through Libby and your library’s OverDrive website. This change was made to fix an issue where Kindle Book loans could appear out-of-sync with Amazon's systems.

Users can still return Kindle Book loans early. If users finish Kindle Book loans early, they can return them to the library through their Kindle or Amazon account site. Here are two help articles with instructions:

Summer Reading Program

"Adventure Begins at your Library" is this year's theme. Programs for children who have completed Kindergarten and older meet at the library on Tuesdays at 9:30 am and Wednesdays at 1:30 pm, lasting an hour. Registration is required. You can pick and choose which days to attend, or attend all.

When the Wind Stops is the next book on the Warner Rail Trail Story Walk. Read and enjoy a peaceful walk along the river, and it's nicely shaded!

Kearsarge Wildcat Football: JULY 12 & 26 there will be a preseason football meeting and skills development session for all 6th, 7th and 8th graders interested in playing football or already planning to play football. https://www.kearsargewildcats.com/

Super Stellar Friday, July 12 (Not July 5) at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center: Weather that's out of this world!

Kevin Skarupa, the morning meteorologist at WMUR-TV for the last 18 years will talk about weather in space, what space teaches us about our own planet's climate, and some of the big storms we get here on Earth.

Tickets are available for pre-purchase https://www.starhop.com/ssf (Library pass also available) and can also be purchased on the night of the event. Ticket cost includes admission to the exhibit galleries, presentation, and Tonight's Sky planetarium show. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the presentation will begin at 7:00 PM.

Weather dependent, the New Hampshire Astronomical Society will also set up their telescopes in front of the Discovery Center beginning at dusk. The skywatch is free and open to the public; admission to Super Stellar Friday is not required.

A proposed multi-use, mountain bike trail in Rollins Park on Mt. Kearsarge is being proposed by the New England Mountain Biking Association (NEMBA) and has been flagged by the applicant. An Application to the State of NH to develop the trail will be submitted in August. The State of New Hampshire is the permitting authority for a mountain bike trail in the State Park. The United Church of Warner has taken on the role of community partner in the ongoing TREX plastic collection project at Simonds School. Stretchy plastics may be dropped off downstairs in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday and Tuesday mornings from 9 AM to noon, Thursday afternoons from 4:30-6:30 pm, and at other times in the week when the church is open for public events.
