The Anchor III Plate is designed and engineered to be used with the Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems' (EIFS) Polymer Based (PB) System.  The Anchor III is used for the mechanical attachment of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) to any vertical substrate.  Made from hi-grade polypropylene plastic with UV inhibitors  the 2" diameter  plate allows for greater holding power and the 3/4" height attaches insulation thicknesses of 1" and greater.

 

The long slender reinforcing arms in the center f the plate are slightly tapered allowing the base coat to bridge and surround these thin arms while keying the base coat mechanically to th plate.  There are 8 closure fingers over the 3/8" deep recessed fastener chamber .  The fingers cover over the head of the highly coated exterior fastener and prevent base coat from filling the chamber creating a thermal void.  The tapered and reinforced bottom of the plate allow for gentle compression of the EPS insulation board  and the large open window areas on the top of the plate allow the insulation to be pushed upwards through the plate for more insulation at the surface of the plate helping to reduce thermal spotting.

 

Anchor III Plates are sold separately or pre-assmebled with the proper sized, highly coated exterior fastener for either Wood, Lite-Steel, Steel Studs or Masonry attachment of EIFS EPS.
