We’re delighted to share that Cassandra, Khadija and Leviza began their summer student placements on May 15. They are already planning some wonderful programs!

On May 6, the NYWC Board of Directors and staff gathered at our first in-person retreat since the Covid pandemic began in 2020. This enabled us to review our progress, update our strategic plan and come away even more committed to the valuable work that we do together.

To show our gratitude, NYWC hosted a dinner on May 31 for current office Volunteers. Much fun was had by all!

We are grateful to Women and Gender Equality Canada for extending our funding for an additional year to support staff training and development.
