Our Friday Find this week is an up and coming footwear brand whose beautiful and intricate designs left us speechless! Created by Christina Durante in early 2015, Femmes Sans Peur gives women footwear options like no other. Translating to "Fearless Women," Femmes Sans Peur's designs embody curiosity, bold creations, and makes every wearer feel beautiful.

Christina knows a thing or two about dreaming big- she has wanted to be a fashion designer since she was only three years old! After working in fashion for several years for various companies (and coming to Choice for help of course!), Christina decided to follow her heart and start her own line- and she never looked back! With shoes that are stylish, comfortable, and at a significantly lower price point than their competitors, Femmes Sans Peur can be seen on celebrities such as Carrie Underwood and on the runway for Bridal Week!

Want to learn more about Femmes Sans Peur and try on a few pairs? They are  having their 1st "Shoe Day" at Bridal Reflections next Thursday 2/11 where women are able to try on their shoes in person and get 25% off their purchase of FSP shoes in store!

We are so excited to share our interview with Founder & Creative Director of Femmes Sans Peur, LLC, Christina Jean Durante!

Where did the concept of Femmes Sans Peur come from?
I'm a Sagittarius. Now it may be in my nature, but as a woman I know that we always want to feel confident and fearless. I came across a void in the market for accessible luxury fashion and wanted to create a product that was both unique and dynamic which would speak to women. It was important to me to create a brand that embodied curiosity, bold creations, and had the wearer feeling beautiful. I also wanted a name that would resonate with every woman that wore the shoes. FSP (which is easily remembered) was everything I wanted for our shoe lover, so I founded Femmes Sans Peur, which translates to Fearless Women.

How do you come up with new concepts and ideas for your shoes to make them stand out?
For me inspiration is everywhere and thankfully it has always come naturally. I have always had an affinity for intricate details, antique jewelry and patterns. Whether on the streets of NYC, in a museum or traveling  abroad, everything has beauty in it.

Have you always wanted to pursue a career in fashion, or was it something that you grew into?
YES! I was sketching ideas since I was 3 years old and have never looked back!

What has been Femmes Sans Peur's "Dream Big" moments thus far?
It was incredible to have world renowned Haute Couture designer Galia Lahav request us to design a capsule collection to be used on their runway at the New York Public Library during Bridal Week last October and then a month later, superstar Carrie Underwood wore our shoes for her new album release party and two live performances!

What are your future goals for Femmes Sans Peur?
FSP plans to conquer the footwear market as other big players have, but we bring two key factors to the table: comfort components and a significantly lower price point for the same quality. After that, the world is our oyster!

What advice would you give to people who strive to "dream big"?
Just go for it! You may not know everything or have all of the funding, but you will learn from industry peers along the way, brands, or people that have already made the mistakes so you don't have to! There will be lots of support from friends and family along the way too! Google also plays an important role on market research and business in general as well; so has LinkedIn in connecting with the right people to grow brand awareness.
