West Virginia Addiction and Prevention Credentialing Scholarships

TTC is offering scholarships to assist in earning WVCBAPP credentials including the Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC), Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC), Prevention Specialist (PS), Clinical Supervisor (CS), and Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS)! Applicants must live and work in West Virginia and be able to complete their credential by September 2025.

NEXUS ETHICS Announcements

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Eric Beeson


Eric Beeson, Professor and Chair of the Counseling Department at Marshall University, has dedicated his career to elevating the mental health and well-being of all people. Since 2006, he has served in a variety of settings including a residential treatment center for youth, a vocational rehabilitation agency, various community mental health and substance use treatment centers, a high school, a university counseling center, an inpatient behavioral health unit, a private practice, and several neurofeedback clinics.

Eric is most proud of a few significant achievements. He served as the 43rd President of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA). In 2020, Eric's innovative contributions were honored with the Gary R. Walz Trailblazer Award by the American Counseling Association. As a thought leader, he co-edited "The Neuroeducation Toolbox: Practical Translations of Neuroscience in Counseling and Psychotherapy.” Additionally, he co-founded the first collegiate recovery program at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, supporting students in their journey to recovery.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Eric finds joy in playing tennis, winning bord games, exploring the breathtaking scenery of West Virginia, and spending quality time with his family.
