2nd Grade Summer Book Club

3:00 pm to 3:30 pm

Looking for something fun to read this Summer, but not sure what to pick? We've got you covered! Join our Summer Book Club for July (and August) and we'll read a really great book and talk about it together! This book club is open to children entering 2nd grade in September. The book we will be reading for August is called Dinosaurs Before Dark by Mary Pope Osborne. You can pick up a copy at the Library's front desk!

Children's Henna Program

Thursday - August 3, 2023

3:30 pm to 4:30 pm


Children ages 5-10 are invited to come and have beautiful henna patterns drawn on their hands! The finished pattern has a rich brown color upon drying and stays well for 7-10 days!

Rainbow Reads

Friday - August 4, 2023

Rainbow Reads is an LGBTQ-friendly book club for queer & allied youth in grades 9-12. It’s a safe place to share thoughts around books we are reading and to talk about ideas and issues. In August, we'll be discussing Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas.

Adult Craft: Cyanotype "Sun Printing"

Using sunlight & a special mix of chemicals, you'll turn ordinary objects into stunning blue masterpieces. Polish Heroes in World History

Through various fun educational activities, children will get to know Polish heroes who changed our world history & contributed to scientific progress.
