Fellow golfers!
Now that we are well into Spring, it’s time to start thinking about golf and this year’s Walker Cup!!
Mark your calendars for this year's event - Friday, August 25th at Druids Glen Golf Course, in Covington, WA. This is a morning event again, with a 7:30 am Shotgun Start, followed by the awards banquet immediately after the golf. Those of you that have been around a while know we have played this track a couple of times, but that was many years ago – should be a fun venue!
Please pay attention to the forms when sending in your payments for registration and/or sponsorships – you will notice some price increases. These are slight, and are strictly driven by inflation – the costs for our tournament each have gone up considerably over the past couple of years, and these minor increases will allow us to cover those additional costs and still make a healthy contribution to the scholarship fund. As we’ve done the past few years, is the “All In Payment” – that means no need to worry about the process of stepping from station to station for your Mulligans, Putting Contest, etc., no need to pay for anything extra at the course - other than beer (and of course, those extra Grand Prize Raffle Tickets! 😊).
We are also looking for sponsors for this year's event. We are just getting started, so a lot of sponsorship opportunities available - Greens @ $100, Teeboxes @ $150, Contest Teeboxes @ $250, and many other options - no reason to hold back on donating to this great cause, raising funds for the George F. Walker Memorial Scholarship program.
If you plan to play but are not sure you have enough players for a team, or if you are a single or twosome - don't let that stop you. We usually have no problem finding spots for everyone that wants to play and can help you fill out your teams.
