We Advocate:
    • The City of Cupertino reserving  $10M of its surplus for major structural Bike/Ped improvements and amenities;
    • Making Cupertino the Bay Area's Best for Cycling and Walk-ability;
    • Creating trails and bike-ways that have positive impact on our residents'  health, community and property values.

 

Cupertino City Bike/Ped News:  

 A big  thanks to you in urging the city council to change course and fund programs and efforts to make Cupertino the bike and pedestrian friendly community that we all want.


  • Cupertino Bike/Ped16 Plan Kickoff meeting - Alta Designs has been hired and the formation meeting is scheduled for Oct. 14th.   FMI: contact David Stillman at
  • Cupertino Bike/Ped15 Update - As you can see in town, the Green Lane Painting is substantially complete and if receives very positive reviews.  The remaining 15 items to be completed this fiscal year remain to be scheduled. 
  • Stevens Creek Trail Update - Each participating city (Cupertino, Mt. View, Los Altos and Sunnyvale) are reviewing the plan as it stands.  City positions and possible plan endorsements could be completed by mid-November.   FMI see: http://tinyurl.com/SCTrail-link   
Most residents near the proposed pathways through Cupertino   and Los Altos are     strongly opposed.  If you think otherwise   a nd support this effort, email your opinion to      Cupertino Councilman and representative to the SCT task  force,  Darcy Paul at DPaul@cupertino.org .  Whatever your position, your opinion counts - write your councilman or attend the community meetings!

We are seeking motivated community members to join the WBC advisory team -  and are looking for contributing team players who  have good  knowledge of the Cupertino HS and Lawson Middle School neighborhoods, its bike/ped needs and have connections to the schools and/or the local neighborhoods.
