CHAMBER STAFF SPOTLIGHT ~ Janie Parish | | |

Janie Parish has been the Executive Director of the Wadsworth Chamber of Commerce since October 2011.
Janie is a 1997 graduate of Baldwin-Wallace University and a 2007 graduate of Leadership Medina County.
She currently serves on the Board of the Free Clinic of Medina County, the Wadsworth Grizzlies Community Foundation, and is a member of the Medina Hospital Advisory Council. In the past, she has served on the Boards of Medina County Women Helping Women Coalition, the HANDS Foundation, the Wadsworth Salvation Army, and Medina Creative Housing. She is a deacon at First Christian Church, Wadsworth.
Janie and her husband, David, a Wadsworth City Councilor and Buckeye High School teacher, live in Wadsworth. Their daughter, Kim, and son-in-law, Tony, have two sons, Connor and Weston, who are the lights of Janie's life.

The Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities (MCBDD) is pleased to announce the name of this year’s recipient of the MCBDD Donor Scholarship. The scholarship, which is awarded by the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities Donated Funds Committee, was founded to support young persons who are pursuing a career that serves people with developmental differences. This year’s recipient has already shown a dedication to touching the lives of individuals with disabilities, and the MCBDD is proud to recognize the contributions of his outstanding service.
The 2024 MCBDD Donor Scholarship recipient is Connor Pugh ($1500 Donor Scholarship). Connor is graduating from Brunswick High School and the Medina County Career Center this spring, where he was part of the Teacher Professions Cohort and President of his class.
