Lake Waconia Fireworks
Thursday, July 4 | Show starts at dusk
The Lake Waconia Fireworks, a 501c4 nonprofit led by the Waconia Chamber of Commerce, hosts the 4th of July Fireworks display. Summer in Destination Waconia:
Activities to Enjoy the Seasons
by Christine Fenner
President, Waconia Chamber of Commerce
| |
Summer is in full swing (enough with the rain), and there's no better time to enjoy all that the Waconia area has to offer. Outdoor adventures, family-friendly activities, relaxing, there’s something for everyone. Here are a few suggestions to make the most of summer:
1. Fireworks at Lake Waconia July 4th at dusk. Lake Waconia is the perfect spot for a summer day out. Pack a picnic, rent a paddleboard, or lounge on the beach. Don't forget to check out the fishing opportunities or take a leisurely boat ride to appreciate the beautiful scenery.
2. Waconia Baseball Don't miss out on the excitement of a local baseball game. Head to Lions Field to catch the Waconia Lakers in action. It's a fantastic way to spend an evening with family and friends. And don’t miss the 1860’s Vintage Baseball Game in August at Andrew Peterson Farm.

Community Outreach & Event Manager
Meet Ashley Klatte-Olson
I am excited to join the Chamber as a Community Outreach and Event Manager. I have a passion for working with communities and a love for vintage charm. When I’m not busy at the Chamber, you’ll find me at my shop on First Street, Ruthie’s House Vintage.
With a background in marketing and brand management, I’m thrilled to bring my experience to Waconia. With over a decade in marketing, I love crafting ideas that unite communities. Whether I’m working on initiatives or curating a vintage collection at Ruthie’s, I’m dedicated to making our community continue to thrive.
Outside of working at the Chamber and Ruthies, I have a passion for searching for vintage, constantly on the hunt for that next unique piece with its own story to tell. At home, I juggle life with my husband Eric and our two energetic boys, alongside our beloved cat named Chummy Joe and our mischievous pug, Leroy Jenkins. I am so excited to be working with the Waconia Chamber.
