The Chamber Cares presented by Custom Cleaning and Maintenance team had a lot going on in June!

They were happy to attend PRIDE Fest on June 9 in support of LGBTQ+ Allies of Lake County.

Held a Back to School Supplies Drive will be held at that Annual Golf Outing on June 14 where all donations were delivered to the Wickliffe Family Resource Center in partnership with our friends from Lubrizol.

In collaboration with the United Way Day of Caring on June 18, they broke up into two teams! Team one volunteered at Deepwood Industries by cleaning their rec center and arts and crafts room. Team Two visited Ohio Living Breckenridge Village and revamped their horseshoe pit.

We ended volunteer month by helping out at the Agape Feast at the First Presbyterian Church of Willoughby and enjoyed meeting great members in our community!

You don't want to miss our next opportunity to volunteer at the Miracle League of Lake County in Eastlake on Saturday, August 10. Witness firsthand the magic that happens on that baseball diamond.

We are extremely excited as we are in the final planning stages for the 2024 Willoughby ArtsFest with Platinum Partner American Family Insurance, presented by Lake Erie Distillery, Raw Roofing Solutions, University Hospitals and Olympus Aerospace and in partnership with The City of Willoughby and Tour Lake County taking place on Saturday, July 20 from 10-5pm in beautiful Downtown Willoughby.

We are reaching out to see if you are available for this year’s event. You can just fill out our quick form by clicking here and then we will send you a follow up email for additional information.

We have surpassed the number of artists and sponsors from last year and we are excited to have all of elements (NOT the rain) from 2023, plus a few new “attractions”! We have approximately 40 new artists and 10 new sponsors joining in on the fun, and we are using every inch of DTW to accommodate our collective 200 vendor tent spaces for artists, food vendors/trucks, and sponsors!

And… make it a fun day by bringing a friend or family member to volunteer with you! All volunteers will receive coffee and donuts from Fiona’s in the morning, and if you are working in the afternoon, you will enjoy a delicious lunch provided by our friends at Normandy Catering. Snacks and cold beverages will be provided throughout the day! You will also have time to shop ‘til you drop and enjoy all the festivities!

Volunteer assignments include:

• Traffic control (yes! you may get a flag)
• Load in and Load out (flex those muscles)
• Street Captains (aye aye Captain!)
• Customer Service Reps (my pleasure!)
• Raffle and 50/50! Who wants Raffle tickets! (Outside voices only please!)
• Ice Ice Baby (someone has to keep the drinks cold and flowing all day)
• ID/Bouncer (bar stool and sunglasses provided) No kiddos allowed for the free bourbon, whiskey and vodka samples!
• Microphone check…123… (Entertainment Gazebo- assigned to the bands)
• Breaker Breaker…(yeah… you are the roaming breakers for artists and sponsors!)
• Don’t Touch, Don’t Touch (keep your eye on the items in the Auction tent!)
• You look Marvelous! (assist with the lines at the Face Painting tent!)
• And many more opportunities!

The WWLCC is proud to award up to $6,000 in student scholarships three times a year, up to $1,500 per student annually.

The Scholarship requirements are:

• Students must be a graduating high school or undergraduate student
• Students must be a resident of, or attending a college or trade school in Lake County Ohio
• Students with good academic standing are eligible to reapply annually
