Action Center Announcements

There are a few late-start classes that begin March 20. View the Spring schedule of classes here.

If you need help or have questions, please reach out to your faculty advisor (email information is located on your portal main page) or contact advising@wvncc.edu.

Please note:

  1. Book vouchers for Spring 2023 have already ended. If a student needs a book for the late-starting course before the course begins or on the first day of the course, the student will need to purchase the books themselves.
  2. Students adding late starting courses will need to email the financial aid office at financialaidoffice@wvncc.edu to request the late starting courses be included in their aid package for the semester. This is due to the fact that we have already locked financial aid hours for Spring 2023, so any adjustments to this point have to be manually made.
  3. Any potential Pell Grant funds that could be awarded for the additional course(s) will be paid once the instructor reports the student attending the course. This usually takes about a week to two weeks for students to see any additional funds.

Campus Safety

Five WVNCC Safety Tips:

1.) Be Alert: Always be aware of your surroundings, especially when walking alone. When walking at night try and stay in will-lit areas.

2.) Have a Plan: Always have a plan of escape. Whether it be your classroom, building, or parking lot. It is always good to be prepared.

3.) Report Suspicious Activity: Calling campus security authorities or reporting to staff or faculty can help protect you and our campus.

4.) Trust Your Instincts: Officer Faldowski recommends not to dismiss your suspicious feelings. Go with your gut!

5.) Lock your car and keep belongings out of sight: you should park in well-lit areas that are well populated and in sight. Lock your car as soon as you enter and exit your vehicles. Keep your keys in hand walking towards your car for quick access.
