WTS Charlotte Metro Chapter Updates

Register by Wednesday 10/18 - 2023 Fall Mini-Series

Please join the WTS Charlotte Metro Chapter for our annual Fall Mini-Series scheduled for the afternoon of Thursday, October 26, 2023 at The Hamilton! We will start the 2023 Fall Mini-Series with a networking lunch and will close out the event with a social at VBGB Beer Hall & Garden directly across the parking lot.


This year’s focus will be on our rapidly growing region and providing connections in and around the Charlotte Metropolitan Area (please refer to the agenda below for speakers and project topics being presented).

Engineers attending this program could earn 2.5 Professional Development Hour or APA Certification Maintenance (CM) credit.


Please RSVP by Wednesday, October 18th. All attendees must pre-pay since there will be no option to ‘pay at the door’.

The Charlotte Metro Chapter of Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) is committed to encouraging and investing in young women who will someday become our future leaders in transportation. Each year the Charlotte Metro Chapter of WTS solicits applications for the following WTS Foundation National Scholarships:



The Charlotte Metro Chapter offers a local $2,000 scholarship, the Mary N. Clayton Honorary Scholarship, which is selected from the National Scholarship applications at the collegiate and graduate levels.  We also provide an additional $750 local scholarship for high school seniors.

Save the Date and Sponsorship Opportunities - NCWIE Conference 2024

The 2024 NC Women in Engineering Conference will be held in Greensboro on Friday, March 8, 2024. The WTS Charlotte Metro Chapter is happy to support this event that takes place every two years.


This one-day conference aims to bring engineers together for a day of networking, professional development, and fun. Programming is centered around issues that women, minorities, and diverse groups face in the engineering industry. This conference is every other year and is a collaborative effort between PENC, the SWE-Charlotte Metrolina Chapter, and the WTS Charlotte Metro Chapter.
