Please join the WTS Charlotte Metro Chapter for our annual Membership Meeting and Chapter Scholarships Recognition scheduled for Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at The Hamilton! Plan to join us for lunch, and then we will recognize our Chapter Scholarship Recipients and hear from our keynote speaker, WTS International Board Chair Jannet Walker-Ford.

Registration for this event is free for members and is open to all friends of the Chapter. Registration closes Thursday, January 25.

WTS Charlotte Metro Chapter would like to update our Bylaws to clarify rules and procedures around how many Directors at Large have a voting role on the Board, how we deal with voting while Board members are absent, and full membership quorum and voting rules including electronic voting.

Members, please take a vote on the proposed Bylaws and submit your response by February 2nd, 2024. Please vote only once.  We need 2/3 of our current members to take a vote for the adoption to take place.

WTS Charlotte Metro Chapter is inviting current Board members and active volunteers with the Chapter to apply for a sponsorship to help offset the costs of traveling to WTS International Conference (in New Orleans May 2024), WTS International Chapter Leader Training (in Chicago November 2024) and/or the WTS International Signature Leadership Program. The link to the sponsorship application is below. The deadline to apply is February 7, 2024.

The 2024 NC Women in Engineering Conference will be held in Greensboro on Friday, March 8, 2024. The WTS Charlotte Metro Chapter is happy to support this event that takes place every two years.

This one-day conference aims to unite female engineers and their peers for a day brimming with opportunities for professional advancement, networking, and individual enrichment. The 2024 conference will spotlight two distinct tracks, one for Professional Development (offering PDH/CEU credits) and the other for Personal Development. This conference is held every other year and is a collaborative effort between PENC, the SWE-Charlotte Metrolina Chapter, and the WTS Charlotte Metro Chapter.
