Megan Ley
Soon after winning the Molitoris Leadership Scholarship for Undergraduates I received an offer from United Airlines for a summer internship under their airport operations at O'Hare International Airport. I spent the summer in Chicago, learning a lot about airport operations and ramp services, as well as networking with United employees. I am hoping to return to United Airlines this coming summer as well. I am still active in a lot of my student organizations and have risen the ranks in Purdue's chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) as the president for this year. Some of the activities planned with AAAE for this year are various airport professional speakers, airport trips and presentations to help students improve their professional skills. Lastly, since last year, I have assumed the role of a supervisor in my part time job at Purdue's career center. In this role, I monitor and train 10 new employees. It has been a very chaotic year so far, but definitely very enriching. The Molitoris Scholarship has greatly helped to alleviate some of the stress that comes with attending college by helping me financially and for that I am very grateful!
Please contact wtschicago.schoalrship@gmail.com if you would like to know more about our chapter's scholarship program.
