We’re here to help when it’s convenient for you

Our online services are open 24/7 where people can log in to view real-time claim information and other account services. But sometimes you need to talk to someone on the phone. Since June, we’ve been testing extended phone hours, so people have more flexibility to call us when it’s convenient for them. People can call us about their WSIB claims Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. For account-related inquiries, people can call us until 6 p.m.

Eliminating paper statements in the New Year

Starting January 2023, WSIB account statements will be available exclusively through our online services and we will no longer be mailing paper statements. Businesses should sign up for an online services account right away to receive their statement and view their account balance without any service disruption.

Report and pay through online banking

Businesses can now report, pay and reconcile their WSIB premiums through their online banking, in one simple transaction. Visit our website to learn more about getting started and participating financial institutions.

Your Guide is refreshed and here to help

When someone has a work-related injury or illness, we know there can be a lot of questions. We refreshed the claimant edition of Your Guide to help people understand their benefits, services and responsibilities so they have the information they need throughout the claim process. Visit our website to view Your Guide for people with claims to learn more.

Celebrating small businesses’ health and safety achievements

Each year, we recognize the health and safety achievements of independently owned and operated businesses with less than 50 employees through our Elizabeth Witmer Small Business Health and Safety Leadership Awards. After receiving over 100 submissions this year, we narrowed down the field to five finalists:

  • T.P. Electric Ltd. (Brampton)
  • Northern Equipment Rentals (Sudbury)
  • Just Working Construction Inc. (Kitchener-Waterloo)
  • Diamond Tree Care and Consulting Inc. (Georgetown)
  • Indoor Environmental Specialists (Windsor and Chatham)

Congratulations to our finalists! Stay tuned to find out who this year’s winners are in early 2023.

The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) is here to help. When an injury or illness happens on the job, we move quickly to provide wage-loss benefits, medical coverage and support to help people get back to work. Funded by businesses, we also provide no-fault collective liability insurance and access to industry-specific health and safety information. We are one of the largest insurance organizations in North America covering over five million people in more than 300,000 workplaces across Ontario.
