WasteCap Resources Solutions, a Milwaukee-based nonprofit, is working on a project with FEED Milwaukee, to conduct research on the scale of food waste in the city, to understand where and how we can divert and prevent food waste. This aligns with implementing Milwaukee’s ECO Office Climate & Equity Plan on reducing food waste.
Phase 1 begins on April 1st, with sponsorship opportunities available to become a Founding Supporter with brand and logo recognition and additional co-branding opportunities for sponsorships $1k and above. The first $6k in funding is matched, and additional funding will allow multiple levels of the study to progress. Phase 1 will determine the volume of food waste which could be absorbed by the various demands and identify the environmental and economic impacts of food waste if directed to the highest and best use.
Please consider supporting this effort HERE or reach out with any questions to marketing@wastecap.org.

Initially announced in early 2022, the proposed rule has undergone notable modifications from its original form after considering approximately 24,000 stakeholder comments over the past few years.
