at the Lowest Price in the Country

DeLille does it again!
Robert Parker called them “the Lafite Rothschild of Washington State.” The winery has made Wine & Spirits’ Top 100 Wineries list six out of the last seven years—nothing but the best leaves their doors.
The makers of the "extremely polished" D2, our favorite American Bordeaux-Style blend, have also released a balanced Cabernet best buy that also ranked in Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines of the year. At 13.9% ABV, this is the house Cab we've been longing for, and we're one of the only merchants in California to have it!

It's time for a duo of absolutely gorgeous Washington stunners, TWO WS Top 100 winners! First up, the new 2021 DeLille "Metier" Cabernet, just ranked #66 for 2023. This is a new one for us, and it's a beaut. Metier is a new wine label for DeLille, showcasing the approachability and excellence of Washington State’s Columbia Valley AVA. The Metier brand is focused on reaching customers across the country and abroad at a more affordable price point, and this Cabernet Sauvignon is as inviting and smooth a wine as you could lwant, with black cherry and plum aromas pouring from the glass and an incredibly low price for this quality. Next comes the 2019 DeLille "D2" - this one is a longtime Artisan favorite as well as a two-time previous WS Top 100 alum, and we don't want you to miss either of these great reds!
The D2 is a classy Right-Bank-Bordeaux-styled blend that has it all, and we highly recommend it to the most discerning palates with confidence. It's the 'Goldilocks' for all collectors of both New and Old World noble blends—whether from Bordeaux, Tuscany, Sonoma, Chile, Napa, and beyond.
The firm and fine tannins, deep espresso, dark chocolate, cassis, clove spice, graphite, sweet leather and tobacco notes are all really sublime at this price.
More About: DeLille Cellars is a boutique artisan winery located in Woodinville, Washington. The winery was founded in 1992 by Charles and Greg Lill, Jay Soloff and celebrated winemaker Chris Upchurch. Today winemaking is in the capable hands of Jason Gorski, who began at DeLille in 2011 and was officially named winemaker in 2014, and Nick Bernstein, who joined DeLille back in 2012 after winemaking stints in New Zealand, Sonoma and Santa Barbara. The mission at DeLille Cellars has always been to create a new Bordeaux blend using Washington State vineyards. From the beginning, the winery has looked towards the prestigious Red Mountain AVA as the foundation of its wines, using grapes from its own vineyards in combination with fruit from other top sites in the Yakima Valley.
D2 takes its name from the grand route du vin, or great wine road that travels through the historic chateau region of Bordeaux. Always leading with Merlot, D2 is a traditional Bordeaux-style blend sourced from over a dozen of the state’s most prestigious vineyards across the Columbia Valley to create the ultimate expression of Washington State terroir. Created as a second wine to Chaleur Estate, D2 has become the winery’s most sought-after label.
Don't miss out on these exceptional value Washington reds!
Cheers,
—James Tran

2019 DeLille Cellars "D2"
(Right-Bank Bordeaux Style Red)
Columbia Valley, Washington
94 Points, #30 Top 100 of 2022 - Wine Spectator:
"Polish meets structure in this red, which offers well-defined black cherry, toasty spice and bay leaf accents as this slowly unfurls toward fine-grained tannins. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2030. 15,000 cases made." -TF (8/22)
94 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"The 2019 D2 (60% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) is terrific, with a ruby/purple hue as well as gorgeous cassis and black cherry fruits, notes of spicy, dried herbs, and lead pencil, medium to full body, and a pure, balanced, undeniably delicious profile. It’s going to keep for 15-20 years and is one heck of a wine." (7/21)
93+ Points - Robert Parker's WA:
"Composed of 60% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, the 2019 D2 Proprietary Red Wine comes with an energetic core. Tasted in tandem with the 2018, the 2019 will perform better with additional bottle age. Medium to full-bodied, flavors of black cherry and bright red fruits sway with an oak-tinged mid-palate followed by a delicate mineral tension with hints of graphite. Finishing long, the wine continues to linger with persistence and intention, but give it time. Your patience will be rewarded! Drink 2024 - 2036" -AM (11th May 2023)
93 Points - Vinous:
"Masses of crushed wild blueberries, tart cherry, sage nuances and a hint of spiced citrus rinds waft up from the 2019 D2. This is elegant and silky in feel, with peppery-tinged red and blue fruits underscored by saline-mineral tones that add a lovely tactile feel toward the close. It tapers off structured and concentrated, and yet it maintains a fantastically fresh persona. Frankly, it's amazing to think that the D2 is the "entry-level" Bordeaux blend from DeLille Cellars. The 2019 is a Merlot-heavy blend rounded out with 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Drink 2024 - 2032." -EG (10/22)

2021 DeLille Cellars "Metier" Cabernet Sauvignon
Columbia Valley, Washington
91 Points, #66 Top 100 of 2023 - Wine Spectator:
"Offers good energy and refined flavors of blackberry, dusky spices and black olive that build structure toward medium-grained tannins. Drink now through 2031." - TF (Nov 2023)
91 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
“A terrific value that would probably run you three times the price if it was from Napa, the 2021 Métier Cabernet Sauvignon has textbook leafy herbs, tobacco, and darker currant fruits in a medium-bodied, elegant, balanced package. It has classic Cabernet herbal, floral, spicy notes and is well worth drinking any time over the coming decade or so.” (Jun 2023)
91 Points - Wine & Spirits:
"This attractive new cabernet from DeLille has a lovely, mildly backward scent of pine, pepper, and tobacco. The flavors reflect a dark cherry cast, but delivered firmly, with grippy cherry-skin tannins."
90 Points - Vinous:
"The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Metier is unexpectedly fresh with zesty red berries, peppery florals and wild herbs. It boasts tart red fruits and inner herbal tones with mineral underpinnings, all kept nicely in check by zesty acidity. This finishes with a staining wild raspberry concentration and grippy tannins that frame the style well. The Metier Cabernet Sauvignon is produced mostly from Candy Mountain fruit." - Eric Guido (Mar 2023)
90 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
"The Métier's aroma of orange-scented pipe tobacco makes a nice foil for notes of black cherry and boysenberry. The Syrah-driven blend offers blueberry, leather and black tea flavors that fill the mouth. A touch of powdered sugar floats in the background. Muscular tannins, with a chewy texture." - MA (Nov 2023)

2010 DeLille Cellars "Doyenne Aix"
Perfectly-Aged Provencal Style Red
Yakima Valley, Washington
91 Points - Vinous:
"(51% syrah, 43% cabernet sauvignon and 6% mourvedre): Bright red. Aromas of blackberry and licorice are complicated by spicy oak and white pepper. Juicy, spicy and penetrating, with lovely intensity to the youthfully tight red berry flavors. Finishes sweet and long, with firm but harmonious tannins. I'd give this at least a year in the cellar before pulling the cork." -Stephen Tanzer (11/13)
90 Points - Wine Spectator:
"Firm tannins surround a juicy core of blackberry, tobacco, tomato leaf and wet stone flavors. A complex and formidable red that needs cellaring to soften the tough texture. Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvèdre. 2,000 cases made." -HS (June 15, 2013)
