If I Were a Lineworker book: Order Now
Explore the world of lineworkers with our popular "If I Were a Lineworker" book - now available for purchase. WPPI is organizing a group order for interested members at $2 per book, plus shipping, with a minimum order of 50 books for each utility.

For a personalized touch, consider adding customized stickers featuring your local utility's branding to each book.

To place your order, please complete the form by Thursday, February 29.

Additionally, WPPI is extending the opportunity to other public power utilities through APPA, following the success of our collaboration in 2022. Join us in sharing the story of a lineworker with a wider audience!
Smart Energy Provider Week: February 12-16
WPPI Energy member utilities make up nearly one third of the prestigious group honored as APPA's Smart Energy Providers, with 27 utilities earning the coveted title.

APPA is championing February 12-16 as Smart Energy Provider Week, urging utilities with this designation to amplify their messaging about its significance for both their utility and community. To facilitate this celebration, APPA provides a comprehensive toolkit of communication materials. For those interested in accessing these resources or seeking additional support, please reach out to Kelly Davis or Steve Lightbourn.
Random Acts of Kindness Week: February 14-20
Random Acts of Kindness Week offers an opportunity to celebrate and inspire acts of kindness towards others, fostering a culture of paying it forward. Join in by orchestrating a random act of kindness within your community.
Wisconsin Help for Homeowners
The Homeowners Assistance Program, initiated in 2022, will cease accepting applications after March 8, 2024. This presents a final opportunity for your utility to encourage participation among your customers. It's important to note that this program operates independently from the standard Energy Assistance initiatives (WHEAP or locally managed CTC).

For those interested in spreading awareness about this program on social media, here's some suggested language:

Wisconsin Help for Homeowners (WHH) has successfully provided almost $70 million to more than 8,600 homeowners facing foreclosure or other financial strains. Interested customers must apply by March 8, 2024 to be considered for support, which depends on eligibility and fund availability. [Utility] also encourages customers to explore alternative programs by reaching out to the WHH Program via email or phone before the call center's anticipated closure on April 30, 2024. For more information or to apply, homeowners can go to the WHH initiative website.
Residential Videos for Electric Vehicles, Solar, and Energy Efficient Homes
Videos are now available! Last year, WPPI partnered with Slipstream to develop a set of information videos for residential customers on three topics: Electric Vehicles, Solar, and Energy Efficient Homes. The goal of these brief videos is to provide some foundational information to customers and highlight the local utility as a trusted resource.

The videos are available for use on your website, social media, and other communication platforms. If you are interested in branding the videos with your local utility logo and contact information, please contact Kelly Davis.
Member Idea Exchange
Each month, we will be sharing examples of requests we receive from members, so you can take a look at what other member utilities are up to.
