WMS is excited to announce plans for the 2024-2025 Wyoming Leaders in Medicine-Physician Leadership Academy. If you are an alumni of the program, please talk to colleagues in your community who would enjoy the program. Help us reach every corner of the state! The application process is short, and the memories will last a lifetime!

Wyoming Medical Society dues are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes but may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses, excluding the portion used for association lobbying activities. WMS estimates that 20% of your WMS dues are not deductible because of lobbying activities on behalf of its members.

WMS seeks physician and PA volunteers for the 2024 Legislative Session

The 2024 Legislative Session will convene Monday, February 12, 2024 and will adjourn Friday, March 15, 2024. New for the 2024 Session will be an opportunity to serve as Doc or PA of the Day via Telehealth for anyone unable to make the trip to Cheyenne. Be on the lookout for details to come soon.

Governor Gordon's Mental Health Town Hall - Next session in Rock Springs on November 29th

Governor Mark Gordon’s series of Town Hall meetings addressing mental health care in the state continue, with the next meeting scheduled for November 29th in Rock Springs.

The Rock Springs Town Hall will be held from 9:30 - 11 am at Western Wyoming Community College’s Western Theatre.

The discussion is open to the public and aimed at fostering open conversations with community members and partners about efforts to increase awareness of available resources and improve access to care. Representatives of the executive, legislative and judicial branches are invited to attend, as well as local elected officials.

WMS would not be able to advocate for our members without the support of the 2023 Friends of the Wyoming Medical Society.

We hope that you turn to these organizations as a resource when you are in need of a product or service.
