The board of the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of James Miller as the new President. With a proven track record of leadership and a deep commitment to supporting local businesses, Miller is set to drive the chamber forward and foster economic growth in our vibrant community. He will assume his new position in September of 2023 as long time Chamber executive, Ken Warner, is set to retire on October 6th.
In his new role, Miller will be responsible for spearheading strategic initiatives, advocating for the business community, and enhancing the chamber’s role as a catalyst for economic development. With his wealth of experience in the Willmar Lakes Area, James will bring a unique perspective and valuable expertise to this key community position. Known for his collaborative approach, exceptional communication skills, and extensive volunteer leadership experience, James has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by businesses in our region and is committed to creating an environment that nurtures entrepreneurship and motivation.

This announcement concludes an extensive statewide and regional search process carried out over the last six months. Over 30 candidates were identified and engaged in a rigorous interview process during that period. “When we measured each candidate against the essential criteria established by the Chamber board and stakeholders, James continued to rise to the top of the list. Finding someone with his depth of local knowledge and core skills for the role who already called the Willmar Lakes Area home was the best outcome we could have foreseen,” notes Rambow.
