Looking for something new and exciting to get your MTB juices flowing again?  Introducing the Wild Mountain Fernie Enduro presented by Compressport.  

 

Enduro is a style of competition that bears a curious resemblance to what most of us actually enjoy doing on a bike; namely, making it up the hills in a respectable fashion and then trying to destroy our buddies' egos on the descents.

This pure format, 39  km route, will treat you to four timed technical descents. Riders will be ranked in the enduro results - with only the descents timed, and in the cross country results - with a time for the entire 39 km course. With four descents totaling 1,822m, the Fernie Enduro will offer a World Class Enduro experience. The route will feature four epic Fernie descents:

1. Verboten  

2. Project 9 

3. Red Sonya 

4. Roots Hyper Extension 

 

Overall: 38.7 km, 1765m climbing, 1822m descents

  

  

Racers will be treated to a premier event starting at Fernie Alpine Resort and ending at the Arts Station in historic downtown of Fernie. Enjoy beautiful and challenging bike trails, epic downhills, professional timing, an athlete pint glass, and a holiday Monday in Fernie for the great Canada Day activities. The Family is welcome too!  


The Wild Mountain Fernie Enduro Presented by Compressport will run on Sunday, June 30th and will follow the Fernie Ultra and Relay trail running event, which runs on June 29th as part of the Wild Mountain Fernie Ultra & Enduro Weekend Presented by Compressport.

Wild Mountain Calgary is pleased to invite TransRockies Race Series participants to an exclusive event on Wednesday April 17, 2013. From 6-8pm Wild Mountain Calgary and The North Face
will be hosting our first annual Spring VIP event.

This is a private shopping experience and our way of saying thank you for a wonderful first 6 months at our new home here in Calgary. We'll have some exclusive deals on the Spring 2013 North Face product, representatives from The North Face will be on hand to provide detailed information on the Spring 2013 collection, and The North Face has also generously provided a gift with purchase for any North Face product purchased at this event (limited quantities so come early)!

Aside from some great deals on gear from The North Face, we'll also have Trailrunner.ca trail ambassador Calum Neff on hand to provide Training and Nutritional tips (as 2012 Canadian XTerra Champion and former NCAA All American track athlete, Calum is a great resource to help you train for YOUR fitness goals this summer)!
