WILO announced its official groundbreaking for the new USA headquarters and production facility in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, on November 12, 2020! We are very excited to officially initiate the new headquarters that will bring the combined operations of WILO USA, Weil Pump, Scot Pump, and WILO Machine Co. to a single production site!

HI Pump Test Lab Approval |
WILO USA participated in the Hydraulic Institute Pump Test Lab Approval Program for our test lab facility located in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. After a successful audit conducted by Intertek, we are excited to announce that we received certification which meets HI standards and insures compliance with federal regulations. |

The Scot Pump facility is starting its Lean Manufacturing Transformation Journey this month. The plan primarily focuses on implementing the 6S of the current building (Safety, Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain). The Kaizen Event on the MJ5 assembly cell will make it a “golden cell” and is the first of what will be bi-monthly Kaizens to achieve all cells are “golden.” The new cell layout will implement a one-piece flow, improve workflow and material flow, and help standardize work. |

AMP has recently added a Weiler CNC to our manufacturing facility in Collierville, Tennessee. The production capabilities are much higher than our existing CNC. The addition of this equipment will improve machining and significantly reduce operation time.
This is yet another step in providing quick and on-time deliveries. Continually improving customer satisfaction is our goal!

The 8254 Receptacle Box is used to join the pump power and sensor cable plug ends to the feed power and control voltage from the main control panel. Standard power versions are available for single and three-phase to 20 motor amps.

We recently enjoyed working with our distributor in Utah to design and manufacture a total of 19 end suction pumps for a large water treatment project at a power plant facility. These pump skids featured 12 of our 2L4x6-10HRV ANSI pumps delivering approximately 1200 GPM each, 3 of our 3L6x8-14ARV ANSI pumps delivering approximately 2200 GPM each, and 4 of our 4x5-10 close coupled REC pumps delivering 700 GPM each. By working closely with our valued distributor and leveraging our manufacturing capabilities, we were able to expedite all of these pumps in about 8 weeks. Because of this type of service, we continue to see growth even in a year like 2020. |

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we were not able to interact face-to-face this past year. That did not stop us from bringing everyone with the next big thing! We learned to interact in a new way by participating in virtual trade shows for WEFTEC and Groundwater Week. Although it is not the same experience as in-person shows, we were still able to connect with attendees and customers with a great turnout! |

Gift Card Extravaganza 2.0 |
The Cedarburg Chamber of Commerce held the Gift Card Extravaganza 2.0 event presented by Wilo USA on December 1, 2020. The Chamber held the first event in June 2020. People could purchase gift cards through the Chamber’s website. With a $10,000 donation by WILO USA to support the community, the Cedarburg Chamber of Commerce offered a $25 thank you bonus Chamber Gift Check for each $50 gift card purchased. The online event happened so quickly, as gift cards were sold out within the first half-hour. The Gift Card Extravaganza 2.0 event helped funnel over $28,000 into the Cedarburg Business Community. |

Due to the pandemic, the 2020 Ozaukee County Fair was canceled. The judging of 4-H livestock and the showing of animals was scaled back. WILO supported the Ozaukee County 4-H Foundation by purchasing two pigs from Brandi Mathias and Tattum Zarling, members of the Lindenwood 4-H Club, both unable to show them at the fair this year. Processed at Kewaskum Frozen Foods, WILO then donated 164 packages (1,312 brats) to Family Sharing of Ozaukee County and the Saukville Community Food Pantry.

The Ozaukee Nonprofit Center put together a drive-thru holiday light show, “Illuminate Ozaukee,” with the help and support of Ozaukee County businesses for the community to safely celebrate the holidays amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The event took place at Herman A Zeunert Park in Cedarburg and ran throughout December. Illuminate Ozaukee helps support and “illuminate” the human service nonprofits of Ozaukee County. WILO USA was a “Tree Topper” sponsor of the event and decorated a company plot. The plots were numbered and allowed people to vote for their favorite business. Out of over 30 plots, WILO came in the top five on the leaderboard. |

WILO ended the year 2020 by spreading some holiday cheer across the WILO USA offices: American-Marsh Pumps, Scot Pump, Weil Pump, and WILO Machine. Employees showed off their ugly Christmas sweaters, holiday headwear, and festive socks! |
