GOOD MORNING BUFFALO

BUFF-N-GLO

309 10th Ave S

Thursday, July 18th 8:00 a.m.

You've seen some great changes to our local car wash as the exterior has all been redone/painted! Let's meet the new owners Zach and Eric! Good Morning Buffalo's are a great way to network with other business leaders in the community while enjoying a cup of coffee and a treat! Might be a good time to vacuum or wash your car too!

There was another good showing of people at the rodeo grounds last week for our Good Morning Buffalo despite the gray day. Was fun to see the horses and bulls getting ready for the big weekend.

Thank you, Tracie Bebeau and Bob Sansevere, for being great hosts.

In the end, the only performance that got a little wet was Friday night. Hope you made it there to enjoy Minnesota's oldest PRCA rodeo in the state! The bulls were pretty wicked and wild every night - with a few of them never having been ridden on before. Was sure a test of the cowboys' skills!

LEADERS IN THE LIMELIGHT

Russell Security Resource, Inc. is the new Leader in the Limelight! Russ has a lot of history here in town - always fun to talk about his history and how it's so much more than just making keys nowadays!

MEMBER/COMMUNITY HAPPENINGS

MEMBERS WHO MAKE THE STAR TRIBUNE TOP 100 PLACES TO WORK!

Congrats to the following: RE/MAX Results, Edina Realty, CLA, Bolton & Menk, Edward Jones, Kwik Trip, MN Adult & Teen Challenge (Lakeside Academy), Arvig, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of MN, and Comfort Keepers.

The rest of the newspaper was all about work culture - what owners are doing for their employees - remote work and communication, empowerment and more. As an HR Director in my past life, these types of articles always interest me. In the end, you have to trust your staff, empower them to do their job well, listen to them, treat them as you would want to be treated and give them some work/life balance. Retention is key and these work places are doing something right!

MORE CONSTRUCTION DOWNTOWN FOR 2026

Living in MN we tease that we have two seasons - winter and construction. As of late, that feels true for our community. There will be more road work done in DT on 1st Avenue, slated for 2026. The City of Buffalo is wanting public opinion, so will have a table at the Farmer's Market and some other events to gain input. I am on the taskforce for that project, so will try and keep you in the loop as well. It's always difficult, as construction can upend community events and business traffic, but it is a necessary thing to keep our community functional as well as beautiful.
